We’re getting there! The latest version of the Headingley neighbourhood plan is now available – this is known as the Pre Submission draft.
This builds on the version you have already seen, incorporating feedback from forum members as well as feedback from council officers.
We have also clarified the way that all the objectives contribute to reducing carbon emissions (in line with the climate emergency) and also to improving the health and wellbeing of the local population.
You will find the plan here:
We would love to see you at the next Headingley Neighbourhood Plan Forum. This will be on
Wednesday 26th June at 7.30pm, in the New Headingley Club.
The forum will be asked to approve this draft and also asked what its thoughts are for how we, as a community, use the plan when it is complete.
Of course, we hope that the forum will approve this draft, but this doesn’t mean that this is the last step……
The next big stage is a pre submission consultation, all local households will receive a leaflet about the plan and all interested parties will have 6 weeks to comment formally on the draft. Then we revise based on comments and (after a few other steps) the plan goes before the national examiner. Finally the plan goes to a referendum for all residents in the plan area.
